The Nasarawa State government has announced plans to partner with the Private Sector, with a view to churning out well skilled youths in the country, in order to reduce the menace of unemployment in the State.

The Permanent Secretary of the State's Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Isaac Danladi stated this when paying a working visit to the Permanent Secretary of the federal ministry of Youths and Sports Development, at his office in Abuja.

Since assuming office in May, the astute administrator said he has been left with no alternative other than to think outside the box, with a view to engendering innovative ideas, to create jobs that will mitigate the presence of unemployment in Nasarawa State.

Three days ago, he met with Mallam Ismaila Abubakar and their discussion was focused on the way forward for youths empowerment in Nasarawa State in particular, and Nigeria at large.

Prior to that meeting, Barrister Danladi had also met and engaged some partners in the private sector, and the discussions were centred on projects and programmes, that would help in ensuring that the youths are taken off the streets and are gainfully occupied.

According to him; "it's my believe that the youths can be helped to acquire skills, that makes them less dependent and even grow to become wealth creators and enterprenuers.

"Basically, in this era of digital economy, a lot can be done by these youths if given the requisite skills to become wealth creators, and enterprenuers in a host of vocational and technical skills, capable of employing many", Barrister Danladi added.

He said he and his team at the ministry are in a concerted search for the right partners, including multinational companies, having started talking with some of them already.

Danladi, who is also Chairman of the twenty Nigeria Premier League Clubs, expressed his optimism that they are in good position to forge ahead, and take deliberate steps that would give life to the

blue print they have in place.
