Nigeria's Flamingos continued their dominant run at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic, defeating Ecuador 4-0 to secure their second win of the tournament.
The victory brings Nigeria’s total to six points from two games, with eight goals scored and just one conceded.
Shakirat Moshood opened the scoring early, converting a penalty in the 6th minute. Harmony Chidi extended Nigeria's lead in the 54th minute with a well-taken goal, before Peave Effiong made it 3-0 in the 66th minute.
Moshood capped off the commanding performance with her second goal of the match in the 96th minute, sealing a comprehensive win for the Flamingos.
The team, coached by Bankole Olowokere, has now scored eight goals in two games, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.
With this victory, the Flamingos are in a strong position as they aim to make a deep run in the tournament.
