Nigeria and Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen has stated that he will have to continue wearing his face mask till the end of his career due to a surgery where two screws went through his jaw and close to his eye brow on his face.
In an interaction with Brila, gathered by CKDMedia, the current African Player of the Year stated that " I had two screws that passed through my jaw, inside my mouth and another here (pointed towards his eyebrow).
"In a match I played against Cagliari, I bled after heading the ball but also because I was hit by the keeper around that area. it's still dangerous even with the mask, and more dangerous without it, so I have to keep using it"
Osimhen has been leading the lines well for the Super Eagles at the AFCON. He scored Nigeria's equalizer in the 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea, and won the penalty which skipper, William Troosy Ekong converted to give Nigeria all three points against host Ivory Coast.
