Stakeholders of Nigerian Football were full of praise for the Sports Minister and NFF regarding their decision to pick an indigenous coach who understood the philosophy of wing play of the Super Eagles, which eventually paid up against the Pharaohs of Egypt as Moses Simon constant threat was what the Super Eagles needed to take the three points.
“Many thanks to the Honourable Minister of Sports for giving us an indigenous coach, turning the MKO Stadium,Abuja to a first class stadium again,giving life to our Super Eagles and by extension Nigerians. The Minister has played the AFCON in Nigeria with the sacking of the foreign coach, hence the positive result in Cameroon. May God continue to bless and provide the Minister with the leadership that will continue to transform our sport in general. Again,thank you sir”, former team Secretary of SEC Fc, Abuja said.
Dr Robinson Okosun, head of Psychology Unit NFF also sent a congratulatory message to the Eagles. “CONGRATULATIONS! This is the typical Super Eagles we're used to. Rampaging Nigerian side. Great game and a deserved win. Una well done”.
