Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen, has expressed his satisfaction with the improvements in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) after watching two thrilling encounters.
Moving on from the ordeal in Libya, Cerezo was in Lafia to watch Abia Warriors vs. Nasarawa United as well as Lobi Stars vs. El-Kanemi Warriors.
Eguavoen, who is closely following local football as he assesses potential talents for the national team, praised the growing quality of play in the NPFL.
"The standard of football has improved remarkably," Eguavoen said. "I'm impressed with what I saw. The Nigerian league is on the rise, and if this momentum continues, the sky is the limit."
His commendation comes at a crucial time as the NPFL continues to attract attention, both locally and internationally, with increased calls for better standards in the league.
